Plant Shapes: Tuft

This low-growing plant is ideal for the front of a sunny border, the rock garden or in containers. It forms a low tuft or mound of narrow needle-like leaves. Spikes of ragged-edged tubular flowers appear through the summer in a deep violet-blue shade, each petal edged in soft blue. Very drought tolerant once established. Long blooming season. Said to be long lived and fairly carefree. Easily divided in early spring.
